Living life...

Ten years ago, our lives were forever changed.  I remember 9/11 just like it was yesterday.  Every time I think about it, I realize just how short life really is.

Life is shorter for some people, and longer for others.  We cannot change that.  That’s just how life is.  What we can change, however, is how we live life.

Life is a gift.  I appreciate every day, and want to make the most of each day that God has given me.  I believe that God has a plan, and we all have a purpose.

One of my favorite verses in the Bible is John 10:10.  “I have come that you may have life, and have it to the full.”

Living life to the fullest starts with attitude.  A positive attitude will take us far in life.

I read about positive thinking on a regular basis and have some words that I would like to share.  It is titled “Attitude” and was written by Charles Swindoll.

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.  Attitude, to me, is more important than facts.  It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what people think, say or do.  It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.  It will make or break a company … a church … a home.  The remarkable thing is we have the choice every day regarding the attitude we embrace for that day.  We cannot change our past … we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.  We cannot change the inevitable.  The only thing we can do is play the one string we have, and that is our attitude … I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.  And so it is with you … we are in charge of our attitudes.”

I really believe that good attitude equals happiness.  Whether we are waiting tables, working in construction, driving a truck, working in an office, looking for a job or bass fishing, if we have a good attitude, we will be happy.

Life is too short not to have a good attitude.  Positive thinking leads to positive outcomes.  We never know when life will end.  I live each day as it were my last.

Remember to chase your dreams!
